Instead of grabbing the ankles and assuming the postion (as some on this forum have suggested), It is good to see appraisers are taking my advice and suiting for defamation.
Disgusting – haven’t seen you in a while @SpartanAG – If you want to ‘prove’ your theory is right then I guess make it up. I’d want to see that second appraisal and how many other appraisals were done between the two.
Don’t forget to sue the news media, the GSEs, HUD, and all the so-called Appraisal organizations.
And Dave Bunton and TAF.
Why in the world can’t the GSE’s or TAF, or even AI or any of the public stakeholders commission some expert, highly credentialed, unbiased appraisers to do multiple reviews and appraisals of these, so that we can quickly and clearly get to the bottom of what was going on with these disparate opinions of value? They also have both appraisals on file right? (The GSE’s)

You mean, they aren’t mandated to protect the public interest when it comes to the system we have, but rather to ratchet up the antipathy toward the appraisal profession in the eyes of the public by letting appraisers who may or may not have done a good valuation service for the public get drug through the mud?

Well if they feel that is to protect the public interest to throw us under the bus. In any case I’m sure their stated mandate is different than their real mandate.
